Why Rødgrød? Ask any non-Dane to say "rødgrød med fløde" and watch them try — it's a beloved Danish dessert and, unofficially, a rite of passage for anyone learning the language.
Language is more than grammar and vocabulary. At its core, it's about communication and connection — and the ability to master the language whether you're at the school gates, in a meeting, or simply finding the words to express who you are.
Native Danish, I lived, worked, and raised a family in London for 25 years before relocating back to Denmark. I have spent 18 years teaching language at an international school in Denmark — an experience that gave me a firsthand, unique insight into navigating a new language and culture, both in everyday life and the workplace. That experience became the foundation for Rødgrød.
I teach linguistics. But more than that, I teach confidence. My approach is bespoke, built around your words, your context, and your vision for where language should take you.
Alongside teaching, I also translate — across English and Danish. Recent projects include translating a company website into English and translation work for a museum.
